As one of its intervations, YCD plant,distribute and sell tree seedlings of different types as one of conserving the environment and income generating activity for the institution to run and survive intimes when there is no donnor suppor.

YCD is an organizatiom is a catalyst not only for more sustainable forest management, but also for increased democratization of governance structures and inclusion of youth into environmental management issues both at local and national levels.

YCD has contributed to empowerment of many stakeholder groups, including those that have been historically marginalized (e.g., women, Indigenous Peoples).on land , biodiversity and environmental managment.
